For Jessica Beasley, leadership has never been about a title. It's been about showing up, doing the work, solving problems, and being accountable for the results.
I'm Jessica Beasley, a mother, accountant, business leader, and proud member of this community.
My life and career have taught me the value of hard work, responsible decision-making, and listening to the people around me. I'm running for South Carolina House District 11 because I believe real-world experience matters, and I'm ready to put mine to work for the communities we call home.
Why I'm Running
The answer starts with my kids, but it doesn't end there.
Like any parent, I think about the kind of future my children will inherit.
I want them to grow up in a South Carolina where hard work still means something. Where they can afford to live in communities that raised them. Where good jobs exist close to home, our public schools prepare children for their future, and families can get the healthcare they need without traveling farther and farther to find it.
But I don't want that future only for my children
I want it for every family in House District 11.
I see families working hard, raising children, paying their bills, and doing everything they're supposed to do-yet groceries, utilities, insurance, housing, childcare, and healthcare keep taking more of every paycheck.
I believe we can do better. That's why I decided to step up and run.
Prepared to Lead
I'm not running on political experience. I'm running on real-world experience.
For nearly 15 years, I've worked in taxation and accounting, helping individuals and families navigate taxes, financial decisions, and an increasingly complicated system.
As District Manager, I oversee operations across multiple offices, lead and develop employees, solver problems, and am accountable for both people and results.
That experience is backed by more than 25 years in management. Throughout my career, I've Led teams, trained employees, improved operations, managed limited resources, and made difficult decisions.
And I've learned something every family and business already knows:
When resources are limited, every decision matters.
My real-world experience is supported by an education centered on business, accounting, and leaderships and a commitment to continuing to learn and serve.

Outside the workplace and classroom, I've continued developing my leadership through community involvement and efforts focused on economic development, workplace readiness, and strengthening rural communities
EXPERIENCE WITH A PURPOSE
Accounting taught me to follow the numbers. Management taught me to listen, lead, solve problems, and be accountable for results.
But living and raising a family here taught me something even more important:
Behind every number is a person. Behind every policy is a family, a business, or a community that has to live with the results.
That's the perspective I would bring with me to Columbia.
